• Journey to Florida Part 2

As we drove on in Utah, we went through to Colorado and found a rest stop once we passed state line.

(The sign looked very creepy at night)

When we woke up, the driving continued and we went pretty far into Colorado.

We stopped in Colorado Springs. It was nice to see the city. While we were in Colorado, we wanted to stop at Focus on the Family because we both were fans of a little radio drama called Adventures in Odyssey. We both wanted to check it out and stretch our legs from the drive. They had a cute bookshop in the building and it had so much in it. Nathan got a new Bible because something happened to his old one and we got ourselves a couples devotion.

We then went and had dinner at Golden Corral. Afterwards we continued on south towards Texas but before Texas we got to go through New Mexico and stopped at a rest stop for the night. The sunrise was the best thing to see in the morning.

When we got to Texas, I forgot to take a picture of the sign so I don’t have one. But so far Texas was beautiful (just like every state).

It took us a few hours to get to the next state. Since we were coming basically across Texas. We then got to Louisiana and boy let me tell you it was a big change from Texas.

And Mississippi was just as breathtaking.

We stayed in Mississippi for the night and a truck stop. Then we went on to Alabama, which was a quick drive through, since we were at the bottom of Alabama. Then we got into Florida pretty quick. It felt nice to be in our new home state.

Hope you enjoyed!! There will be more blogs to come.

  • Journey To Florida Part 1

On July 22, our journey began!! We left our families and friends and were on our way to Florida. We had left later than we wanted so we only made it through to Nevada. We stopped and stayed at a truck stop a few minutes from the Arizona state line. The morning sunrise was gorgeous!!

We continued on and went through Arizona. But Nathan wanted to take me to Utah to see Zion National Park. I’ve travelled to Utah before to see family friends but I’ve never gone to Zion and Nathan has. Since this road trip to Florida was suppose to be kind of our honeymoon, I thought it would be fun. We stayed for a few hours and left the RV at a parking lot and took the car up the road to the National Park. We took some beautiful pictures of the mountains and I loved seeing the beautiful scenery.

After eating lunch, we started driving towards Colorado. It was starting to get late but the sunset was gorgeous. Utah was beautiful and luscious in general. I’m hoping to visit again and spend more time there.

    Part 2 coming soon

  • Where It Began

After my husband and I got married, we both thought it was a great idea to get an RV since his job requires him to be moving around so much in different states. We had looked around at various RV dealers. There were some that we liked but we thought it would be great for the future. Then we found a dealer in Pomona, California and found one that would be great for our first “house”. It was much older than others we had previously looked at but we thought it would be great for us.

After we chose the RV, it was going to take a while to get it because there were some things that needed fixing. But Nathan needed to go back to work out east the following day so we decided to get the RV and move our stuff into it when he got back.

When he got back in July, we went back down to Pomona to get the RV. We then brought it to his parents’ house to start moving his things into it. And let me tell you, there was a lot of his things to bring……….like A LOT!!! We stayed over at his parents house for a few days then took the RV to my parents’ house for few days to get my things (which there wasn’t much of). After a week, we needed to hit the road and start our journey to Florida. We said our goodbyes to his family and mine and there were a lot of tears from everyone. We were sad to leave but we were ready to take this journey together.
